reading response

  I recently read Heroes Gods and Monsters of the Greek Myths by Bernard Evslin. the book is basically a compilation of Greek stories and each one had there own messages such as listen to those who are wiser than you, size doesn't matter and how important trust is. of course the stories also explain a natural phenomenon such as coral-reefs the arctic and the sun.this book featured many well known stories such as how the gods came to be and so on.
one recurring theme is that some things just cant be avoided such as death. in many of the stories people are informed that they are going to die and they take measures to stop it from happening and by doing this they get themselves killed in they way the were told the would die.
